Cheaper than water!

What a deal ! I just went to the commissary on base for the case lot sale and they just happened to have my favorite sports drink. Powerade Zero has no sugar and no calories but tastes awesome. Well in my opinion 14 cents a piece is an awesome deal. It is even cheaper than water. so I bought five cases. I hope I havent outdone myself.( kinda like the huge pot of spaghetti you might have seen on our blog.) I have been drinking alot of these even before the sale just to stay hydrated in the over 100 degree humid west texas. but now Im really going to be drinking them but for now I just need to fit them along with my luggage and ashleys in a 2 dr honda civic. that or well be chugging on our way home.

Burned out

I really enjoy the school but Im kinda burned out on Army P.T. I have done a lot of physical training. Every day I wake up at 3:00 and run run run. I go to school and i have to do firefighting which is normally fun but not as fun with blisters, shin splints, and all around wore out. I was really motivated to lose weight and get in shape so I was also going to the gym after school but the fourth block was very physical and I kinda took a break as you can see my gut didnt completely go away. but the blister did a little. A few more weeks and Ill be through. Im trying to get some more pictures form some guys in my class Its been alot of fun. im at a 97% average and Im almost done with hazardous materials block (boring) One Final block and its Hit The Road Jack. So check back and Ill post some more pictures maybe even graduation.

Ashley really wants some pictures or videos of the fire school and if anyone even checks this site Im sure they do too. Unfortunately they have made some tighter restrictions of when you can take videos and pictures but they havent stopped whats already on youtube. so heres some good footage of the traing or go to youtube and search goodfellow firefighters or Louis F. ABOUT TIME!!

I sometimes wonder why I have always wanted to be a firefighter. It might be the thrill or the pride but I also remember parades and how cool the big red trucks were. well I still get just as excited every time I see one. This truck was the new truck for Bonneville County and had a big NO FEAR sticker in the windshield. Bonneville County recently donated this truck to Ammon Fire Dept. and now I get to play with it.

I have been trying for over two years to get into Louis F. Garland Fire Academy and now Im finally here I came down here with Ifsac firefighter I and Driver Operator certifactes as well as Haz mat operations and Emt basic so some of these classes im redoing at the Acadamy. I will also add dept. of defense (dod) certificates. This academy will add Firefighter II and Aircraft Rescue not to mention the experience of one the the worlds best fire academy Im glad after this long I can Finally add this to my resume. next step is an associates degree in fire science. About time!!!

Fire School

Coleman has been gone to Fire school June 15th. We miss him tons, but are so greatful for all the knowledge and experience he is getting! He has wanted to be a fire fighter since... well, birth, so in working towards that goal and aspiration he has joined the National Guard, and volunteers for a department back home. He is getting tons of certifications, and would love to work full-time for a department somewhere!
